The SamMI Clinic No. 1 is a leading and prestigious center for diagnostics and treatment, equipped with modern medical equipment and a highly qualified staff. The clinic provides highly qualified specialized medical care in 30 areas.

The clinic’s primary objective is to create conditions for students to acquire theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills in clinical disciplines, as well as to provide qualified inpatient and outpatient care, in accordance with the established procedure of the Ministry of Health of the Republic, to citizens of Uzbekistan and non-residents.

Under the leadership of the Institute’s Rector, Professor A.M. Shamsiyev, a program to modernize the clinic was developed and implemented: effective use of the hospital bed capacity was achieved, the usable area per bed was brought into compliance with sanitary standards, conditions for patient stay were significantly improved, the clinic’s provision with modern diagnostic equipment and medications was significantly improved, the latest methods of treating patients were introduced: videolaparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgeries, microsurgical ophthalmological, neurosurgical operations, the use of laser and infrared rays in the treatment of diseases of the hepatobiliary system, the implementation of the principles of “safe motherhood”
Currently, the clinic’s departments house 14 clinical departments and courses. They are staffed by 13 professors and doctors of medical sciences, 55 associate professors, and candidates of medical sciences.
The clinic annually provides highly qualified specialized care to 18,000 inpatients, more than 100,000 outpatients, 3,000-3,500 births, and 6,600 surgical interventions.
