The center was founded in 2003 on the basis of the Research Institute of Cardiology in order to provide patients with cardiology care at the international standards’ level, and to introduce modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of cardiac patients in practical health care.

Structurally, the center consists of research laboratories, a hospital with 241 beds, and a consultation clinic with 250 visits per shift. Specialized cardiology units were created here for the first time in Uzbekistan: emergency cardiology, ischemic heart disease, arrhythmia, circulatory failure and non-coronary pathologies of the myocardium, arterial hypertension, cardio-cerebral pathology, rehabilitation, EPR-diagnosis and surgical treatment of complex arrhythmias, endovascular surgery (EVS), cardiac surgery and cardiology with metabolic disorders. Every year, the center provides inpatient care to more than 8 thousand patients, and advises up to 40 thousand patients on an outpatient basis.

Today, the RSSPMC of Cardiology employs 524 employees, including 17 Doctors of Medical Sciences and 28 Candidates of Medical Sciences. For many years, the center was headed by Kurbanov Ravshanbek Davletovich – the Hero of Uzbekistan, President of the Association of Cardiologists of Uzbekistan, and Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, who was elected an honorary member of the European Society of Cardiology in 2019. Since 2020, he has been an adviser to center.

Patients are provided with comfortable rooms along with an expanded list of services. The center has a well-stocked library with a reading room. Patients and guests can visit the first Cardiology Museum in the country, where one can learn about the development of world medicine from the time of Hippocrates to the present, and take fascinating excursions to cultural and historical places of Tashkent.
