The history of the center goes back to the distant past, when in 1919, a government made a decision to reorganize the nationalized Slonim Brothers Hospital into the Institute of Physical Methods of Treatment and Radiology. The Institute was the only establishment in Central Asia with a well-equipped, for that time, hospital, where the seriously wounded were sent to from the battlefront. Subsequently, the Institute underwent a number of reorganizations and renaming, receiving its current name and status in 2009.

The center provides treatment that is based on the methods of optimal pharmacotherapy of the main diseases of the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal tract, respiratory organs, rheumatology, and optimizes their prevention.
