The clinic was established in 1967 as a medical division of “Glavtashkentstroy”. In 1999 it was renamed the Republican Clinical Hospital No. 1, and in 2020, a Multidisciplinary Clinic of the Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Workers.

Currently, it is a large multi-specialty medical institution with 330 beds, providing highly qualified, highly specialized inpatient, outpatient, consultative and diagnostic care to patients, both on a budget and on a paid basis, in an emergency and planned manner.

The clinic has surgical, urological, gynecological, traumatological, neurotraumatological, proctological, cardiological, neurological, and 2 therapeutic units, as well as hemodialysis and rehabilitation of patients with transplanted organs units.

A number of departments of the Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Workers (formerly, Tashkent Institute of Advanced Medical Training), Tashkent Medical Academy (Neurology, Cardiology, Urology, Gynecology, Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Anesthesiology-Resuscitation, Gerontology, Traumatology, Proctology, Department of Public Health, and Functional Diagnostics) and 3 major centers (Scientific Center for Liver and Biliary Tract Surgery, Center for Coloproctology and Rehabilitation Neurological Center) are based here.
