The Barcelona info tour is over
On April 6, 2025, a six-day infotour of leading clinics in Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain), organized by the Medical Tourism Association of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Barcelona Medical Destination, concluded. The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Association, A. Shukurov, and included heads of non-governmental medical and health institutions from various regions of the republic. The program included visits to clinics such as DEXEUS, Guttmann, Teknon, Sant Joan de Deu, Fundacio Puigvert, and the Barnaclinic Medical Center, located at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona and serving as a clinical base for training future doctors. During the program, the Uzbek delegation learned about cutting-edge European practices in transplantology, robotic surgery, adult and pediatric rehabilitation, urogenital pathology, andrology, and other medical fields. Participants exchanged experiences with colleagues and outlined promising areas for future mutually beneficial cooperation. They also invited clinic representatives to participate in the 4th International Workshop Conference, which will be held in Uzbekistan this October.
On the final day of the visit, the delegation took a sightseeing tour of the historical landmarks of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia. All members of the delegation agreed that such visits facilitate the study and implementation of best practices from leading international clinics in the practices of domestic institutions, significantly improving the quality and effectiveness of medical services.
