From May 25-28, an informational tour was organized by Burjeel Medical City, a large multidisciplinary medical center located in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The delegation, led by A. Shukurov, Chairman of the Medical Tourism Association of the Republic of Uzbekistan, explored the possibility of including this institution in the Register of Foreign Clinics that can be recommended to domestic citizens as an alternative when choosing clinics and doctors. The tour included an overview of the conditions and level of medical and service services provided, the facilities, and the specialists at Burjeel Medical City.

Following the business portion of the visit, a decision was made to include the VMS in the aforementioned Registry, and a corresponding Certificate was issued. Furthermore, a Memorandum of Cooperation in Medical Tourism was signed between the Association and the VMS Medical Center, and promising areas of cooperation were outlined aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of complex modern medical services for residents of Uzbekistan in the fields of oncology, transplantation, rehabilitation, reproductive technologies, and more.
