On November 11-12, 2024, the Tashkent branch of the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) hosted the 2nd International Scientific and Practical Conference “Medical Tourism in the Context of Globalization: Problems, Prospects, and Innovations.” The Medical Tourism Association of the Republic of Uzbekistan was among the organizers.
A. Akhmedov, Deputy Chairman of the Medical Tourism Association of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was entrusted with the conference’s moderation.

Speakers included representatives from Azerbaijan, Israel, Spain, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. B. Pirnazarov, Head of the Medical Tourism Development Departments at the Republican Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology, and S. Kholmuminov, Head of the Republican Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Therapy and Medical Rehabilitation, delivered presentations on the state of medical tourism at their institutions.

During the conference summary, the participants expressed their deep gratitude to the organizers and proposed holding such conferences annually with an even larger membership.
The conference proceedings are planned to be published as a collection of scientific papers.
