Atyrau-Tashkent: A New Medical Tourism Air Bridge
From July 15-17, 2025, a working session on tourism development was held in Atyrau, Kazakhstan. It included presentations, B2B meetings, and workshops with Kazakh and Uzbek tourism specialists.
The event, timed to coincide with the opening of the new Atyrau-Tashkent-Atyrau air route, was organized by FlyArystan Airlines (Kazakhstan) with the support of Mr. J. Abdukarimov, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Aktau.
At the event, presentations on the potential of Uzbek medical, health, and tourism institutions were made by A. Akhmedov, Deputy Chairman of the Medical Tourism Association of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the Akfa Medline multidisciplinary medical center, several sanatoriums, and tourism and hotel companies in the country.
During the B2B workshop meetings, the parties agreed on the potential of opening a new direct airline linking Kazakhstan’s western regions with Tashkent, which would provide quick and convenient access to virtually any region of Uzbekistan, providing essential medical, health, and recreational services, as well as enjoying the country’s unique natural, historical, and modern attractions.
